HUL Executive Director Punit Misra quits; Sanjiv Mehta to take over

Misra has spend 20 years at the FMCG company.

Punit Misra, Executive Director and Vice President, Sales and Customer Development will be quitting the company, Hindustan Unilever said, in a statement to the BSE. Misra, who has spend twenty years in the company, will be pursuing an "external opportunity," the statement said. 

Srinandan Sundaram, who currently holds the office of Vice President, Skin Care, will take over from Misra and will join the HUL Management Committee too. The change will take place from September 1, 2016.

On the development, Sanjiv Mehta, CEO and Managing Director, HUL, said, "I would like to welcome Srinandan to the HUL Management committee and wish him success in his new role. Under Srinandan's leadership, the Hair and Skin Care Businesses have seen strong growth fuelled by innovations and brilliant marketing.

"I would also like to thank Punit for his invaluable contribution to Unilever over the last twenty years. I wish him the very best for his future endeavours," he added.
