Govind Rajan, chief executive officer, Freecharge, the payment's platform owned by Snapdeal, has put in his papers only nine months after he came on board. 

According to two reports, Rajan submitted his resignation on Tuesday which was accepted by the top management of Jasper Infotech, Snapdeal and Freecharge's parent. 

Jason Kothari, currently the chief strategy investment officer at Snapdeal, will now oversee the business operations at Freecharge, a report by The Economic Times said. 

Media reports quoted Rajan as saying, "It has been a unique privilege to helm FreeCharge in these exciting times of rapid growth and user focused innovation. I'm confident that Freecharge will achieve still greater heights under its incredibly talented team, and I look for ward to facilitating the transition over the next few weeks."

"Govind has brought incredible energy and focus in growing FreeCharge. The pace of progress will continue with the strong team he has built. I'm sure he will bring the same level of passion and resolve to whatever he chooses next. I wish him the very best, Kunal Bahl, Snapdeal founder said.
