Carmakers brace for festive season with extensive offers

With the festival season around the corner, carmakers are lining up discounts and offers to keep the sales momentum going. In the month of September, car sales in India rose 9.47%, rising for the 11th consecutive month, on the back of new launches and softening interest rates.

With the festival season around the corner, carmakers are lining up discounts and offers to keep the sales momentum going. In the month of September, car sales in India rose 9.47%, rising for the 11th consecutive month, on the back of new launches and softening interest rates. 

Here is the list of what car manufacturing companies have in store for the public this festive season:
 
1. Nissan: 
 
Nissan Motor India Pvt. Ltd, subsidiary of Japan company Nissan Motor Company is offering wide range of discounts on select variants of the Terrano, Sunny and the Micra.
 
The Terrano gets benefits of up to Rs 95,000, including a 5gm gold coin, Blaupaunkt in-dash navigation system and an exchange bonus of up to Rs 30,000.
 
The Nissan Sunny will be available with benefits up to Rs 75,000, including accessories worth Rs 10,000 and an exchange bonus of up to Rs 30,000.
 
Select variants of the Micra and Micra Active will be available with benefits up to Rs 45,000. This includes accessories worth Rs 5,000 and an exchange bonus of up to Rs 20,000.
 
2. Datsun:
 
Datsun, Nissan's budget brand, offers the Go and Go+ in India. 
 
The carmaker is offering benefits of up to Rs 25,000 on Datsun GO+ for units booked in the month of October. While on the Datsun GO, there are benefits amounting to Rs 22,000 available.
 
3. Hyundai:
 
This festive season, Hyundai is offering the Eon D-Lite+ for Rs 2.99 lakh, including an exchange bonus; the Grand i10 (petrol) can be yours for Rs 4.69 lakh, which includes savings of up to Rs 70,000; the Xcent (petrol) for Rs 18 lakh, with savings of up to Rs 70,000.
 
Under more saving options, you can buy the i10 (petrol/CNG) and save up to Rs 50,000, up to Rs 83,000 on the Verna (petrol/diesel); Rs 90,000 on the Elantra (petrol/diesel); and up to Rs 1 lakh on the Santa Fe.
 
4. Tata Motors
 
Tata Motors is offering benefits of up to Rs 48,000 on the Indigo eCS; the Indica eV2 comes with benefits of up to Rs 45,000; you can buy the Nano and save up to Rs 45,000; the Manza comes with benefits of up to Rs 30,000; the Vista, Rs 53,000, and the Safari Storm, up to Rs 25,000. Buying the Aria will let you save up to Rs 1.42 lakh, and the Sumo Gold will let you avail benefits of up to Rs 43,000.
 
5. Skoda
 
Apart from festive season, Skoda is also celebrating its 120th anniversary. For this, the carmaker has launched a Skoda Rapid Anniversary Edition starting at Rs 6.99 lakh. This special edition Rapid will come with three years paint warranty for unlimited kilometres; service interval at 15,000 kilometres or one year, and two years warranty for the engine and spare parts for unlimited kilometres, according to the carmaker's website.
 
6. Chevrolet
 
Chevrolet has announced exciting offers this season. The company is giving offers that includes a 3+2 years warranty, free three-year maintenance package, and free first-year insurance on the Beat, Sail, Enjoy and Cruze.
 
Moreover, except on the Spark and the Captiva, the company is giving exchange benefits of up to Rs 30,000 across all car models. All the offers are available till October 31.
 
Under MPVs, the Chevrolet Tavera gets a three-year warranty, along with an exchange bonus of Rs 35,000. 
 
7. Maruti Suzuki
 
The country's largest carmaker, Maruti Suzuki has announced benefits of up to Rs 1 lakh on the recently-launched S-Cross. This offer is available only for a limited period of time. Maruti sells the S-Cross through its Nexa showrooms, built exclusively for the carmaker's entry into the premium model segment. Maruti will be selling the upcoming Abarth 500 through the Nexa showrooms too.
 
8. Renault
 
While there were no specific festive discounts listed by Renault, on the company's official website, there were still a series of ongoing discounts. 
 
Renault is offering the 85 PS RXE and RX Duster with a discount of Rs 45,000, along with additional benefits if you happen to work with a corporate. This offer is valid across the country, except in Andhra Pradesh, Telangana, Goa, Karnataka, Kerala, Tamil Nadu, Delhi NCR, Haryana and Uttarakhand. However, if you happen to take a car loan, the aforementioned states can avail it at a 4.99% interest rate, the company's website states.
 
The Lodgy (HP RXL 8s, HP RXZ 8s & THP RXZ 7s) get benefits of up to Rs 50,000. Again, this offer is applicable throughout the country except in the aforementioned states. The excluded states however, can avail a car loan at 4.99%. It is important to note that pan-India customers looking to buy the Lodgy will also get free extended warranty for two additional years per 30,000 kilometres.
 
If you are looking to buy he Renault Pulse in Punjab, Himachal Pradesh, Jammu, Uttar Pradesh, Uttarakhand, Maharashtra, Mumbai, Goa, Chhattisgarh, Gujarat, Madhya Pradesh, Tamil Nadu, Arunachal Pradesh, Telangana, Bihar, Jharkhand; or in Kolkata, Bhubaneshwar and Guwahati, you can avail benefits of up to Rs 55,000, including a car loan at an interest rate of 6.99%.
 
The same offer, including the low interest rate, is also applicable if you're in the market to buy a Renault Scala in the aforementioned states.
 
The rest of the country, however can avail benefits of up to Rs 30,000 and Rs 35,000 on the Pulse and Scala, respectively.
 
The Renault Fluence and Koleos come with benefits of up to Rs 1 lakh and Rs 1.5 lakh across the country.
 
9. Volkswagen
 
In the midst of the emission scam spanning several countries, Volkswagen recently announced limited edition Polo Exquisite at Rs 6.3 lakh and Vento Highline Plus at Rs 9.7 lakh.
