There's reason to cheer for India's advertising fraternity as the Advertising Agencies Association of India is putting finishing touches on this year's edition of Goafest. It will be held in the last week of May 2014, so as to avoid a clash with the yet-announced general election dates.
Allaying fears of a no-show, R K Swamy Hansa group chairman and managing director Srinivasan K 'Sundar' Swamy was appointed chairman of the organising committee. Earlier this week, Nakul Chopra had stepped aside as head of the organising committee given pressures of work as Publicis Worldwide CEO South Asia.
"Goafest this year will be bigger and brighter than ever before. We have expanded the awards and will have awards on three evenings." Swamy said, adding: "The entire programme will be indoors so there is no reason to despair about the heat." The dates and the venue will be announced shortly.
