The Swiss Leaks project is a result of nearly 60,000 files that hold information on over 1,00,000 bank accounts in HSBC, Geneva.

1. Overall ranking of India

In dollar terms, India is ranked 16th among the 203 countries in the information leaked by ICIJ. A total of over $100 billion is deposited in HSBC, Geneva, by the given individuals and entities.

2. Largest Indian bank account

The maximum amount of money associated with a client connected to India was $876.3 million (Rs 5300 crore approximately).

3. Total money hidden by Indians at the bank

Total money stashed by Indians in HSBC, Geneva is $4.1 billion (Rs 25,000 crore)

4. Number of Indian clients

At 1668 clients out of over 1 lakh globally, India is ranked 18th with Switzerland leading the list at 11,235 clients and the US at number 7 with 4183 accounts.
