If you are looking for some fun options to express your love to your beloved this Valentine’s Day in an entertaining and dramatic way, karaoke might be the right fit! Warble your favourite love song to your valentine, as several restaurants and clubs across the city are holding karaoke specials tonight.

Volare Resto Lounge in Colaba is doing a karaoke special, besides the live DJ set. “We have organised karaoke at one level and a DJ set on the other,” says Marzy Parakh, owner of the lounge. “Since people do not have too many options for karaoke in the city at present, we thought it would make sense to have something like this on the Valentine’s eve,” he adds. Though karaoke is a weekly feature at Volare, tonight will be all about love songs. Says Marzy, “There’s going to be a lot of classics like I just called to say I love you, It’s My Life, etc.”

Bungalow 9 in Bandra too is celebrating a love rendezvous with karaoke night, amidst balloons and candles. Commenting on the trends on playing karaoke nights on the evening of Valentine’s Day, a spokesperson says, “Valentine is a very special day for couples. On this romantic day, couples confess their feeling to their partners through songs and what better way than singing for your loved ones. Karaoke nights are  most preferred not only to express one’s love but also to spend some quality time singing away to glory. We aim to create a lover’s paradise with a collection of 7,000 songs to go with the festive mood.”

Manchester United Café Bar, Palladium, will be ringing in V-Day with romantic classics to make the night worth remembering for your Valentine with VH1 Karaoke Night. Music in store includes classics like I Don’t Want to Miss a Thing, Wonderful Tonight, Grow Old With Me.

Even Crepe Station in Powai, which has never had a karaoke before, will be holding one tonight. Says Ravi Sharma, owner, “We thought it is quite a thrilling idea for people make their date more memorable by taking the partner out for a karaoke.” He adds, “We urge people to show their love to each other by singing. There are also dedications and requests for the night. Besides, each couple will get a complimentary dinner voucher for the next visit.”
