An average woman will spend $13,000 on makeup during her lifetime, a new survey has found.
The UK's Daily Mail reported, according to the study a woman spends about 180 dollars every 12 months on cosmetics for an average 65-year life span, reports The New York Daily News.
The average breakdown per lifetime: $1466 on lipstick, 3120 dollars on mascara, and $2274 on eye shadow.
Conducted by UK cosmetic store Superdrug, the study also revealed that 70 percent of women never leave the house without their most precious makeup tools, and half of those women said they wear make-up 24/7. Researchers polled 3,000 women to get the results.
"It's no surprise that the cost of all our lipsticks and essential makeup adds up to such a staggering figure," the store's beauty director, Sara Wolverson, said of the results.
"Women use makeup as a tool to boost their confidence and as a way to make themselves feel fashionable and youthful."
