Britain's Prince Charles has joked about his new-found status as a style icon, and said that he comes back in fashion in every 25 years.
"Every 25 years I seem to come back in fashion," said Prince Charles, who was recently in Australia to attend Melbourne Cup celebrations and the Campaign for Wool event at Sydney's Museum of Contemporary Art.
The heir to the throne, who has penned an exclusive fashion piece for the December issue of GQ Australia, which goes on sale on Wednesday, has told the magazine that he thinks it's funny to be back in fashion at his age.
The always-dapper Prince of Wales laments about being listed on both the Best Dressed and Worst Dressed lists over the years but reveals it's his body shape more than anything, which dictates his style.

"I simply had to go my own way and stick to what I felt suited me," the Herald Sun quoted him, as saying.
"As that happens to involve what many once considered to be old-fashioned double breasted suits, I can only expect to be considered unfashionable; although one commentator recently called me 'beyond fashion', which added to my confusion. I am still not sure if she meant it as a compliment," he added.
