About Ranthambore



Ranthambore National Park is one of the biggest and most renowned national park in Northern India. The park is located in the Sawai Madhopur district of southeastern Rajasthan, which is about 130 km from Jaipur. Being considered as one of the famous and former hunting grounds of the Maharajas of Jaipur, today the Ranthambore National Park terrain is a major wildlife tourist attraction spot that has drawn the attention of many wildlife photographers and lovers.

Trip tales



After nearly 10 years of planning a trip to a wildlife reserve, we finally came to Ranthambore for my mother-in-law’s 70th birthday. Nikhil and I are passionate about animals and firmly support all the efforts for conserving tigers.

The first sighting



This was the first time that we got to see a tiger in its natural surroundings and that too about 10-feet away. They are such majestic creatures.



On the trail
Ranthambore is incredible! The highlight was spotting the tigers. We were lucky enough to spot them on all four days that we were there. Sometime we spotted two tigers at the same time. The sanctuary is beautiful even if you aren’t fortunate enough to spot a tiger as it is situated around the picturesque fortress built in the 10th century.
