Gucci is taking the "grunge vibe" to another level as it recently debuted a $1,200 pair of jeans and $1400 pair of overalls on its website.

The Italian fashion house designed the demis to look as though they have grass stains around the knee area in its grunge-inspired fall/winter 2020 collection.

The product description for the overall read, "Channeling the Fall Winter 2020 Men's collection’s grunge vibe, this denim overall is crafted from organic cotton and specifically treated for a stained-like, distressed effect. Gucci explores new takes on the cult fabric, reinterpreting it with different designs and washing techniques that blur the line between vintage and contemporary."

It further reads, "All organic cotton leftovers from the cutting process for this product are then upcycled into new materials under the “Gucci Up” program. Pieces with versatile ways to wear and style embrace each person who is part of the House’s individual spirit."

They come with oversized pockets and adjustable straps and some additional fake grass stains.

Social media users reacted to the news on Monday morning, with many slamming Gucci for the super-distressed and pricey designs.

"Wrong on all levels," one person tweeted, while a second added, "What fools they make of people."

Last year too, Gucci sold $870 men’s and women’s shoes that were "treated for an all-over distressed effect," giving them the look of worn-in sneakers.

The 70s inspired sneakers, which were made in Italy and were part of the Cruise 2019 collection, also raised a lot of eyebrows on social media.
