Gautam Singhania finds his feet

For a speed junkie like him, slowing down is frustrating enough but coming to a complete halt was pure punishment. While he’s now finally back on his feet, Gautam Singhania spent two very difficult months with his leg in a cast after sustaining a fracture during a trip to Europe. While all we know is that it was a freak accident, the upshot was being confined to his ‘home office’ which surprisingly didn’t much affect his usual work schedule. He was holding meetings, finalising plans and strategising boardroom moves from the comfort of an upright bed which had been moved in to replace his leather swivel chair.

We hear that our man is now off on a trot again, even making a quick trip to Tirupati on Tuesday to seek Balaji’s blessings his first trip out of Mumbai in a while. While we think he’s still ruing missing out on the Monaco Yacht Show this year, his mind is already occupied with the next car drifting challenge he’s planning to hold at the track prepared inside his company’s Thane premises your diarist hopes to catch the action live when it unfolds in November. All said and done, we have to give it to the man he’s quite simply unstoppable!
