December is the time to party! Whether you want to bid the year goodbye with a wild party, mellow music, or just soak in the culture, do whatever floats your boat. From electronic music, rock concerts to Bollywood live, there’s a lot to make you pack your bags and head out.  

Hornbill Festival, Nagaland

If you want to see all that the ethnically-rich Northeastern state of Nagaland holds, head to the Naga Heritage Village in Kisama, approximately 12 km from Kohima. Organised by the State Tourism and Arts & Culture Department of the state, it’s a cornucopia of cultures and music. All the tribes of Nagaland participate in the fest, which is replete with song, dance, food fairs, customs, crafts, sports, and a lot more. You cannot miss the Hornbill International Rock Contest in Dimapur that will have 25 bands participating.  
When: Ongoing till December 10

Enchanted Valley Carnival, Mumbai

The two-day multi-genre carnival in the maximum city will have massive performers from all over the world. Robin Schulz, Dutch DJ Armin van Buuren and Arijit Singh are just some of the artistes that will take stage. Live it up with international pop, dance music, and Bollywood Live on one big stage at NESCO Centre, Goregaon.​
When: December 16-17

Nh7 Weekender, Pune

The Happiest Music Festival is another hub of all things hip and happening. With different stalls, food, and a number of arenas for different tastes in music, it will make anyone a happy camper. This year, the god of guitar — Steve Vai, metalcore band — The Dillinger Escape Plan, Cigarettes After Sex, and our own Vishal Bhardwaj are some of the artistes who will be performing.
When: December 8-10

Magnetic Fields, Rajasthan

It’s out-and-out decadence time! The regalia of Alsisar Mahal, the rustic dunes of the heritage village, and desert haze make this contemporary arts and music festival even more striking. Catch artistes like Ska Vengers, Willow, Komorebi, DJ Tijana T, and several others. Stuff like photography, wellness, and creative barter will make it more exciting!

Sunburn Hills, Pune

It’s the good ol’ Sunburn Festival, in its 11th edition this year. The biggest electronic music fest in India and Asia has moved from the beaches of Goa to the hills of Pune. Dance to the tunes of the daddies of electronica and dance music — Martin Garrix, Hardwell, David Guetta, and Armin van Buuren. Party the New Year’s Eve away!

TimeOut 72, Goa

The land of the sun and sand and all things hip has the newest festival in town — Time Out 72. This is what’s bringing Wiz Khalifa, Martin Garrix, and Jason Derulo down to India along with a number of artistes like Timmy Trumpet, Don Diablo, and Nervo! Head to Vagator for the wildness.
