On her trip across Sunnyvale, San Francisco and Los Angeles in California, actress Nikita Dutta did everything from visiting the Universal Studios to gardening, running across the Golden Gate, gorging on chocolates, pudding and fudges, shopping and a lot more. The actress who was last seen in TV show Haasil says that the state is more than just skyscrapers and flashy clubs.

Every day is a cheat day

I was visiting to attend my sister’s graduation ceremony as a certified baker. So, the first week was seven cheat days, gorging on chocolates and pudding. Later in LA, I tried a Scorpion lollipop — a candy with a dried crawlie.

Exploring the Unexplored

I clubbed a trip to the zoo with Universal Studios. The former was like reliving childhood. Never before had I seen animals so closely through the day. Universal Studios is like a city in itself. I saw everything from Fast and Furious cars, dinosaurs, flash floods, Harry Potter’s magical world and more. At the Google headquarters, it was a delight to see their work environment.

Landing in Los Angles

We took a 10-hour drive from Sunnyvale to Los Angles where we saw the tallest of skyscrapers. The city is extremely beautiful. We hogged on some of the most delicious food and fudges. We walked around, sat in gardens sipping coffee and got clicked like typical tourists.

A run to remember

Being a marathon runner, just seeing the Golden Gate bridge in San Francisco would do no justice to the place. So, how about running on it? It was close to a seven-km hike through a jungle that led to the bridge. When I started my sprint, it was getting dark and awfully quiet, and I suddenly saw a fox on the other side. The jog across the Golden Gate was an experience of a lifetime, with temperatures between 8-10 degrees Celsius and bone-chilling crosswinds. Every second of the run was worth a million bucks.
