A photo treat

At a pre-festive exhibition, Project Seven, select photographs of Salamatt Husain, MF Hussain’s grandson, will be on display from August 6-7  at Sunville Banquets in Worli.  Salamatt is Mumbai-bred with a BFA degree from State University New York in Animation & Design followed by a diploma from the renowned Hallmark Institute of Photography.

Salamatt’s first work was at the New York Fashion Week with designers Nico & Adrian followed by the Brooklyn Fashion Week. On his return to India, he has profiled Bollywood composers like Shankar, Ehsaan, Loy, Sonu Niigam, Kailash Kher; Bollywood celebs like Bipasha Basu, Farhan Akhtar, Salman Khan, Kangana Ranaut and Vir Das. His theatre showcase resulted in the success of magnifying History of India — VIRitten, Walking on Broken Das, The Alchemist, Two to Tango, Three to Jive, The Big Fat City and Blame It On Yashraj. Salamatt has also shot internationally in London, Dubai, Singapore, Taiwan, Kenya, Tanzania, Greece, Denmark, Macau, New York and Boston.
