The district administration has directed the chief medical and health officer to ready a part of the Youth Hostel on the Janpath as a makeshift medical and patient care centre.
The decision has been taken in light of prime minister Narendra Modi’s visit to the city on July 7. PM Modi is expected to address a huge gathering at the Amrudon Ka Bagh opposite the Youth Hostel the same day.
“We have directed the medical staff to first identify a place on the hostel premises which can be utilised for setting up temporary care centre on day of PM Modi’s arrival,” an official of the Jaipur collectorate said.
Once the place is identified, the chief medical and health officer will depute doctors, nurses and support staff who would take care of beneficiaries requiring medical attention on July 7, the official added.
The medical staff has been also directed to stock up the place with medicines and equip themselves with emergency support system. The district collector Siddharth Mahajan has, in addition to this, directed that all dispensaries around the rally venue at Jyoti Nagar, Vidhan Sabha and state secretariat shall open at 7 am the day PM Modi is scheduled to arrive.
