Youth dies in Kota after falling in well

A 20-year-old youth on Wednesday morning was killed while his 22 years old friend was rescued after they had accidentally fallen into a deep well in an agriculture field near Bishniya Khedi village of Kota district.

The two youths along with three other friends at around 2.30 today morning had boarded a passenger train from Kota Railway Station for Ramganjmandi town but being in sleep, missed to get off at station following which they pulled the chain to stop the train and got off near Bishniya Khedi village.The two fell into the well while they were crossing the agriculture field.

Five friends, all catering labourers from Kota city, were travelling to Ramganjmandi town at around 2.30 today early morning, told Manoj Sikerwal, SHO at Ramganjmandi police station.

The five missed to get off the train at Ramganjmandi railway station following which they pulled the chain and jumped into an agriculture field near village, he said adding two of the five youths identified as Aniket Bairwa and Rajesh Prajapat), both residents of in Kota, could not notice the well in the field due to darkness and fell into the deep well.

Police on information reached the spot and two constables climbed down into the well with ropes and succeeded to rescue but Aniket’s body had drowned deep into the water.
