Union minister Arjun Meghwal among BJP spokespersons for Rajasthan

The announcement was made by BJP general secretary Bhajan Lal on directions of state president Madan Lal Saini.

Ahead of the Rajasthan assembly elections, the BJP, finally has armed itself with a jumbo team of spokespersons to take on the Opposition Congress.

The saffron party on Wednesday announced eight spokespersons. Those who secured places in the team of spokespersons include leaders such as Satish Punia, Alka Gurjar, Narayan Pancharia and Pinkesh Porwal.

Apart from them, the party has also appointed 12 panelists to take part in TV debates. The list of panelists includes former deputy mayor Manish Pareek, Jyoti Kiran, Ramlal Sharma, Jitendra Gothwal, union minister Arjun Meghwal, Onkar Singh Lakhawat and Abhishek Matoria.

The announcement was made by BJP general secretary Bhajan Lal on directions of state president Madan Lal Saini. Vimal Katiyar as media in-charge and Niraj Jain as co-incharge were appointed by the same order issued on Wednesday.

Since Saini assumed the office and BJP national president Amit Shah visited Jaipur recently the party launched hunt to search for party spokesperson. Since past four years, there has been a dearth of spokespersons and in such a backdrop, ministers and the former state president Ashok Parnami had to come forward to share the party views.
