Two married women died in suspicious condition in two separate villages of Jodhpur district. Bodies of both of them were found in the water tanks. The peer party has filed a report in this regard alleging dowry murder. Post mortem of the two were carried out by the medical board.
Lohavat SHO Harisingh Rajpurohit told that Kushlawa resident Laluram Suthar has filed a report that his daughter Usha (22) was married three years ago to Vishnu Dutt, resident of Jaloda. During the marriage, he gave dowry according to his capacity, but her in-laws were not happy with it. Husband, mother-in-law Sajni Devi and father-in-law Kastura ram were torturing his daughter for dowry.
They tried to explain them many times at social level, but they did not understand. On Friday night, Usha made a phone call to her brother Revatram and mother Hawa devi and said that her in-laws are torturing her for dowry, please take me from here. Usha said that her husband, mother-in-law and father-in-law threatened to kill her if she did not bring dowry.
In the morning, some people came from Usha’s in-laws and told that Usha died due to falling in a water tank. Laluram said that he suspects that the in-laws killed the daughter and threw the body into water tank.
On the other hand, Likhmaram Meghwal, a resident of Malar Rin village of Phalodi gave the report and told that his daughter, Geeta (20) was married three years ago to Pappuram Meghwal, resident of Khaniyon ki dhani. Dowry was given at the time of marriage, still husband, Pappuram and mother-in-law Teeja Devi used to harass and assault Gita for dowry. He alleged that husband and mother-in-law had killed Geeta and put her body in water tank.
Likhmaram said that Geeta called in the evening on April 6 and said on the phone that her husband and mother-in-law are assaulting her and they would kill her. After this Geeta’s phone got disconnected. After a while, it was reported that Geeta ’s body was found in a water tank. Post mortem was done by the medical board and the body was handed over to the family.

Bodies of both of them were found in the water tanks creating suspicion over their mysterious deaths. They were being harassed for dowry and had complained of their agony to their parents.
