Due to the model code of conduct which is in effect in the state in the wake of bypolls, the ministers are not hoisting the flag this year
State level ceremony to celebrate the 69th Republic Day is being organised in Bharatpur at Lohagarh stadium this year.
CM, Vasundhara Raje reached Bharatpur on Thursday evening. And was welcomed by senior officials of the Bharatpur division including divisional commissioner, Subir Kumar. Governor Kalyan Singh had reached Bharatpur on Wednesday.
Due to the model code of conduct which is in effect in the state in the wake of bypolls, the ministers are not hoisting the flag this year. The flag hoisting at Jaipur and other districts will be done by district collector at the district headquarters, while the divisional commissioner will hoist the flag at divisional headquarter.
In Jaipur, flag will be hoisted by Rajeshwar Singh, divisional commissioner at Chaugan Stadium in Gangori Bazar.
Working collector, Alok Ranjan will hoist the flag at district collector office at 8:15 am. The main function at Lohagarh Stadium in Bharatpur will start from 9 :30 AM with the arrival of Governor.
Thereafter, medals and certificates will be given to the officials and employees, followed by a cultural programme.
On the same day, Governor will host the “At-Home” at Rajbhawan in Jaipur in evening at about 4:30 pm.

Rajasthan’s colourful cultural will be the center of attraction in the Bharat Parv which is being organised by ministry of tourism in Delhi from Jan 26 to 31. Additional director of Rajasthan tourism center, Dr Gunjit Kaur said that in the six-day festival, for the first time culinary skills of state’s cooks will also be demonstrated live on Jan 29. The event is being held at the historic Red Fort campus.
