Water sports at Siliserh lake will be the newest addition to the already existing tourist attractions in Alwar. Rajasthan tourism development corporation (RTDC) has started preparations for developing water and adventure sports at the lake which draws a large number of tourists and visitors.
Giving the information, a senior official of RTDC, said, “We will be starting water and adventure sports at Siliserh lake and planning is being done for this,’’. The water sports activities will include houseboat, modular floating jetty, paddle boats, pontoon boats, jet skies, water cycles, Malibu speedboats, Aviva & rave inflatable water play equipment apart from any other activities which the official feel will be safe for the tourists.
The place is an idyllic spot with an enchanting landscape of wooded hills and beautiful embankment of the placid lake, it offers boating and sailing facilities and is a delight for the trigger-happy photographers and filmmakers. RTDC will be leasing out the activities and their operation and maintenance to the private players for a particular number of years a model which it has been implementing at Fatehsagar lake in Udaipur.
Currently, in Fatehsagar lake and a few other places many of which are owned by private players, such activities are being carried out. Notably, a few years back, the idea of repeat tourism was conceived by the department and it was thought to start adventure activities and other recreational activities.
