The Congress national president Rahul Gandhi is traveling through divisions in the state and latest in line is Bikaner division wich he will visit in the second week of October. He is expected to hold two rallies, take out road show here and pay visit at Karni Mata Temple situated in Deshnok area.
“The party president Rahul ji’s two to three days visit is being planned in Bikaner division. Here he is proposed to hold rallies and visit temples. A road show similar to Jaipur has also been proposed. Final confirmation on his tour is still awaited from the AICC,” said a senior party functionary of the party sharing details of proposed visit.
The party sources informed that Rahul is likely to hold rallies either in Hanumangarh, Bikaner or in Sri Ganganagar. Out of them, Ganganagar and Hanumangarh are the districts where several farmers’ protests were held lately over the issue of water crisis by the farming community. Rahul is expected to raise these issues while targeting Raje government.
Congress is planning Rahul’s rallies in a manner so that it touches upon each division. It started with Jaipur division in August where he took a massive road show and covered Sagwara in Dungarpur (Udaipur division), a tribal area, in September where he addressed a rally.
Recently, Rahul’s Bikaner visit was discussed in a high-level meeting attended by RPCC chief Sachin Pilot, AICC general secretary Ashok Gehlot and Rajasthan incharge Avinash Pandey and other senior party leaders in New Delhi.
The sources informed that his rallies are being planned in Rajasthan keeping in frame his tours to other poll-bound states- Madhya Pradesh and Chattisgarh- and this is the reason why the high command is taking time to approve the fixtures of his visit to Bikaner.
