Rural development and Panchayati Raj minister Rajendra Rathore's name was unanimously suggested for Vidhyadhar Nagar seat in Jaipur. Rathore's name emerged in the feedback programme on Monday held by the BJP for the selection of probable candidates. The party workers of Vidhyadhar Nagar assembly constituency had proposed Rathore's name.

BJP's feedback programme ended on Monday. On the last day, the opinion of party office bearers and public representatives were taken for the 27 assembly seats of Jaipur and Sikar district. Many big names emerged for assembly seats in Jaipur district as several BJP's districts and state office-bearers, councillors, former councillors, former MLAs and MPs have come forward to contest the elections.

Seven groups of chief minister Vasundhara Raje, state in-charge Avinash Rai Khanna, national vice president Om Prakash Mathur, national general secretary Murlidhar Rao, convenor of the state election management committee Gajendra Singh Shekhawat and other top leaders took feedback from the party post holders from different assembly constituencies. The CM took the feedback for Sanganer while state organisation general secretary Chandrasekhar took that for Vidhyadhar Nagar assembly constituency. In BJP, the maximum number of ticket claimants appeared for Vidhyadhar Nagar and Sanganer assembly constituency. Name of Cabinet minister Rajendra Rathore was also proposed from Vidhyadhar Nagar assembly constituency and the party workers were united in forwarding his name.
