The ministers and legislators in the present BJP government, who are thinking about shifting to some new constituency will not be able to do so in the upcoming Assembly elections. BJP will not allow its sitting legislators and ministers to change their seats, state election in-charge and Union minister Prakash Javadekar gave this information during a press conference on Tuesday in Jaipur.

"The seat of a legislator will not change as the BJP MLAs will contest elections from the same seat which they are representing. If the change will happen, then the candidates will be changed," said Javadekar while addressing media persons.

On the question of the possibility of chief minister Vasundhara Raje contesting election from two seats, Javadekar said that the chief minister will contest election from her present seat. He said that some sitting MLAs may not get tickets. On the question of how many MLAs will not get a ticket, Javadekar did not give a clear reply.

Significantly, some ministers and MLAs in Rajasthan want to change their seats. It is worth mentioning here that during the feedback programme organised by the BJP for the selection of probable candidates, some legislators and ministers expressed their desire to change their seats.

During the press conference, Javadekar claimed that the tradition of changing the government every five years in the state will change this time. The BJP will once again form the government in the state said Javadekar while giving a slogan 'BJP again' (BJP Phir Se). "We will go to the electoral field with self-confidence. We will go to the public with the slogan 'BJP Phir Se' and also tell the people the reason why they should ensure a win for the BJP. Javadekar gave an example of BJP's victory in Uttar Pradesh and Gujarat saying that it is a sign of change in politics. People will again make BJP victorious.

He said that the party will field winning candidates in the electoral field. In relation to the issue of tickets to the sons of the party leaders and to fix the age limit for tickets, he said that those who will be able to win and is our worker will be given a ticket. Youth and women will be given adequate representation in the Assembly elections, he added.

"We took feedback for all the 200 Assembly seats across the state for six days. Party leaders talked to 12,000 workers of the party in 11 sessions. Opinion about probable candidates was taken from the party workers and the BJP is the only party in which the opinion of the workers is taken in this manner", said Javadekar.
