Now, there will be no need to undergo surgery when there is a tumor in children’s brain. The tumor will be eliminated by hitting radio rays directly on the tumor portion. This state-of-the-art technology, neither involves any type of incision nor any risk of probable damage to the other part of the brain.

Renowned neurosurgeons told about the same new techniques of tumor treatment during the international conference on Neurological Society of India, on Saturday. During a session of the conference, Dr VP Singh informed that radio rays are inserted directly into the affected area of the tumor, which eliminates the tumor inside. This technique will be very effective in children. There was another session to show the depth of internal brain structure through three dimensions with the help of 3D glasses.“In order to detect deep hidden tumors in children’s brain, the trap of electrons laid on the head and the patient kid is asked to perform brain activities, which can detect the actual condition of the tumor. This technique has made treatment easier,” Dr Frederick Boop of the United States told.

In a session, Dr CE Deopujari, a neurosurgeon from Mumbai, told that the brain tumor has emerged as the second most found cancer in children after blood cancer. In such a situation, observing the early symptoms of a headache, vomiting, or dizziness the doctor should be contacted, so that the disease can be identified and can be treated at the beginning stage. In the brain tumor, now the endoscopy technique has brought great relief for the patient. “For the first time, such an opportunity has come that so many neurosurgeons and neurologist from the nation and abroad are gathered for discussion at one place. This conference will prove very useful for new doctors who are moving in the field of neurosurgery,” Dr Hemant Bhartiya, organising secretary said.
