Rajasthan High Court imposes fine of Rs 50,000 on govt, orders to recover from guilty officers

The state government and another firm went to the Supreme Court against the order, where the SC dismissed their SLP.

In the matter of high-security number plate, Rajasthan High Court has expressed displeasure over declaring the petitioner company ineligible in the technical bid, even after the court order. 

Along with this, the court has imposed a fine of Rs.50,000 on the state government and asked them to recover the damages from the guilty officers. Apart from this, the court has also ordered the department to take action against the guilty officers. 

The single bench of Justice SP Sharma gave this order while accepting the petition filed by the Real Mazon firm. The court has also ordered to include the petitioner firm in the financial bid.

In the petition, Advocate Sandeep Pathak mentioned that the petitioner firm had applied for the contract for high security number plate on vehicles. 

But, the State Government disqualified it in the technical bid. Against this, the division of High Court passed an order to allow the petitioner to join the bid. 

The state government and another firm went to the Supreme Court against the order, where the SC dismissed their SLP. Even after that, the government declared the petitioned ineligible once again.
