Citizens or party workers, need not roam at the Congress offices to float their suggestions and inputs to be incorporated in the party manifesto as the party has come with an initiative making them to register suggestions on mobile using WhatsApp. PCC chief Sachin Pilot and Harish Choudhary, chairperson of the manifesto committee, informed of the initiative launching ‘Rajasthan Jan Ghoshna Patra’ campaign on Friday at the state office.

“This is Jan Ghoshna Patra in which the issues of farmers, Dalits, tribals, youths will be incorporated. It will be released in the middle of November,” said Pilot addressing a press conference. The leaders unveiled a mobile number-9911448200- where the citizen can make suggestions by posting text, video message and voice message.

“In Rajasthan, 70 percent people own mobile and hence the party has created a digital platform to outreach people to seek their suggestions. The suggestions on the number could be made till next week,” said Choudhary adding that members of the committee will also tour district offices across the state where they will take suggestions from workers and people.

On this occasion, Pilot gave two suggestions on youths employment and farmers welfare to Choudhary to be incorporated in the party manifesto. According to the initiative, people may register their inputs by calling on the number and leaving the name, and inputs can also be shared leaving a 40-second voice message. A confirmation message will be sent to the caller to acknowledge inputs. Pilot, meanwhile, took a pot shot on the BJP strategy on candidature. He stated that the saffron party is considering to deny tickets to sitting MLAs in order to reduce anti-incumbency against the CM Vasundhara Raje.

“This will not work. Whosoever they want to field they can give the ticket, they will lose. Also, in coming days, the BJP will divert from the original issue,” said Pilot.
