BJP may face difficulties due to anti-incumbency in the upcoming Assembly elections. There is opposition against many sitting BJP MLAs and leaders within the public and the BJP workers. Now, this opposition has come out in the open. In the past two days, party workers protested against two BJP MLAs.

A demonstration was held against state spokesman Satish Poonia and Bagru MLA Kailash Verma on Monday at the BJP state headquarters. While on Sunday, a demonstration was held against BJP’s former state president Ashok Parnami in Jaipur. The BJP wants to change the trend of changing the government every five years in the state. For this, the BJP is considering cutting the tickets of over 50 per cent sitting MLAs and new faces can be given tickets instead of the current legislators.

The BJP workers are opening a front against their party MLAs and leaders in many constituencies. Many workers protested against Bagru MLA and parliamentary secretary Kailash Verma on Monday. The BJP workers of Bagur reached the BJP headquarters and demonstrated against Verma. They were demanding the ticket for any other party worker instead of Verma. They also reached the Hotel Hilton, where the BJP Core Committee meeting was in progress.

Similarly, a demonstration against BJP spokesperson Satish Poonia was also held. The BJP had given the ticket to Poonia from Amber Assembly constituency in the 2013 Assembly elections, but he lost the election. Poonia is currently a member of the state election management committee. The supporters of half-a-dozen BJP leaders, who are demanding ticket from the Amber Assembly constituency, reached the party headquarters on Monday and protested against Poonia. Demonstrators demanded that the ticket be given to any other worker instead of Poonia.

Chaksu MLA Laxmi Narayan Bairwa too is facing opposition for a long time and the party workers of Chaksu unit have demonstrated at the BJP state headquarters. During last month’s feedback programme, Bairwa’s candidature was opposed. Similarly, BJP MLAs are being opposed in many Assembly constituencies of the state.
