Parallel Lit Fest at Ravindra Manch from January 27-29

The beginning of Parallel Literature Festival-2018, organised by Rajasthan Progressive Writers Association is now being seen as an historic event. There is a wave of growing Lit-Fest-merchandise culture with the aim of corporatisation of literature and arts, to oppose it, an initiative in the form of PLF is well received. 

It was a three-day long festival with more than 50 sessions, where more than 150 writers, artists and renowned personalities from the various fields participated. Around 20,000 literature-art loving people witnessed this historic event. 

PLF has gained a big national and international repute with its first edition. It has designed PLF as a festival of Hindi and Indian languages’ literature, art and culture, where literature, thoughts and their indigenous nature is important. This is the most important aspect of PLF.

This year PLF is going to be organised on 27-28-29th January at Ravindra Manch, where colours of the words will flourish on the lush green lawns, art galleries, studio theatre and open air theatre.

This year’s PLF is going to host more writers, artists, journalists and speakers in the field of art, culture, and cinema. PLF-2019 will be dedicated to the great Urdu writer Razia Sajjad Zaheer, born in Ajmer as country is celebrating her centenary year. The Ravindra Manch will be named and decorated as ‘Razia Gram.’ Inaugural ceremony will witness the veteran historian Prof. Irfan Habib, writers like Asghar Wajahat, Mamta Kaliya, Noor Zaheer and other eminent writer-speakers.
