Lioness RT wins heart of CM Vasundhara Raje

Chief minister Vasundhara Raje is so fond of the famous lioness RT at  Machia Safari Park that she wants to keep it at the Jaipur zoo, but RT is not proving to be a good mother. Her three cubs are being fed by milk powder imported from the US.

Dr Shravan Singh Rathore of Machia Park said that RT is so possessive about her cubs that she does not want to keep away the cubs from her even for a moment.That is why when RT gave birth to two cubs on Diwali it carried them in her mouth for two hours due to which a cub died. The condition of the second newborn female cub remains steady as it is being fed by milk powder.

Dr Rathore said that RT had given birth to a cub named Kailash on October 22 last year but due to non-availability of RT’s milk, it was raised with milk supplied from outside. Significantly, Dr Rathore took care of Kailash and its birthday was celebrated on Sunday.

On May 12, RT gave birth to another cub named Riyaz and it is also being fed with milk powder.

Chief Minister Raje had seen RT during the inauguration of Machia Park and she wanted to shift it to Jaipur Zoo. However this could not be done as the lioness was pregnant then.
