The life of the great Veer Durgadas Rathore, the savior of Marwar dynasty from clinch of Aurangzeb is an inspiration for all youth. The inspiring history of Veer Durgadas will be perpetuated in a grand form. The Jodhpur’s most eye-pleasing light and sound show on Veer Durgadas, which will be organized from 11 to 15 October 2017 at Ravan ka chabutra ground, Jodhpur. Its preparations are going on with full enthusiasm in the gardens of Adarsh Vidyamandir, Keshav parisar.  Nearly 250 artists are getting training on a huge stage, along with learning war skills the artists are also learning war skills.

The first phase of the rehearsal of this show is almost complete and the artists are fully prepared for the next phase. The show is directed by a couple Aru-Swati Vyas, who did their graduation from National School of Drama (NSD), New Delhi. The couple is an international fame and has also shown their presence in the National theatrical Festival of big countries like Indonesia. The screenplay of this show has been written by a famous novelist, Ayodhya Prasad Gaur and all preparations are being done under the leadership of general secretary of the organizing committee Nirmal Gehlot.

Ayodhya Prasad Gaur told that the book Durg Gatha also reveals many interesting facts of history. The book explains how after Aurangzeb, Mughal ruler Bahadur Shah captured the fort of Jodhpur on 18 February 1708 and how the nomenclature of Jodhpur was changed to Mohammedabad.

When Aurangzeb was propagating the rule of hatred In those days, the Marwar dynasty was facing the toughest challenge. Ruler Jaswant Singh died without leaving any heir. Aurangzeb was keenly waiting for this opportunity. But the Rajput warrior displayed a confluence of intelligence and indomitable valor. It is the story of that warrior, who did not allow Aurangzeb’s nefarious intentions to succeed over Marwar.

Who does not know the great life of The Veer Durgadas in Rajasthan? The play will reveal the patriotic side of the warrior. This play will leave a question on every viewer that from which lens we see the character.  The story of Marwar and Ajitsingh will run parallel with the Durg Gatha.
