Jaipurites throng temples, visitors make a beeline at tourist spots

The first morning of 2019 was welcomed by people of the city with joy and happiness. After celebrating the New Year’s Eve night in parties in hotels, clubs and farmhouses, many people in Jaipur welcomed the sun rise at Galtaji on Tuesday morning.

Since early Tuesday morning large number of people went to places like Galtaji and saw the morning sun rise while there were significantly large number of people in the morning who went to Govind Devji temple and Moti Dungri Ganeshji temple in the city.

Though it was a Tuesday and a working day, still people went to temples early morning and started their daily routine after offering prayers in temples to start the new year.

Large number of people were present early morning even before the sun rise in the mangla darshan at 5 am and after the darshan went to nearby Tadkeshwar Temple. 

While for many in the Walled City its a daily routine but since it was the first day of new year the crowd were present in large number on Tuesday even though it was cold outside.

Similarly families in large number were seen at Moti Dungri Ganesh ji temple. There are always large number of devotees present in the temple on Sundays and other holidays, while on Wednesday too many devotees come being the day of lord Ganesha. But on Tuesday this time devotees had come at the start of new year.

Since it was a working day, most of the people joined offices after leaves in December. Meanwhile the tourists took to shops and markets in the city after celebrating December 31 night on Monday. 

They went to tourists spots like Amber Fort, Albert Hall and Hawa Mahal Jantar Mantar and enjoyed first day of the year in Jaipur.
