It seems that  Rajasthan Roadways has come back to square one after failing to get its land auctioned in recent weeks. Sources inform that currently there are no plans to start the auction process once again or to sell the properties in near future. This is because of the current market conditions in the city.

A few weeks ago the people involved in the decision-making process had also hinted that the price being offered in the market is much lower than the price which is being expected by auctioning the property. Moreover, its also being said that in last one year, even JDA has not been able to auction any of its big properties.

As of now, it seems that Rajasthan roadways may have managed to find other ways to get funds, say the sources.

JDA had a few days ago initiated the process to auction khasra number 151/443 land near Chomu House Parivahan Marg The dates of the proposed auction were on December 6, December 13 and December 20. Sources said that the reserve price was also kept high.

The process failed as no bidders came on all these three days. Meanwhile, the employees are already in the mode of agitation. On Thursday the joint front of worker unions of roadways announced a large statewide rally at the Rajasthan assembly during the budget session.

On Thursday, they burnt the effigies and agitated at Sindhi camp bus stand in which hundreds of workers were present. Their demands include stopping of the process to sell the land of roadways. Apart from this, the worker unions are also demanding on running the lok parivahan buses away from 2-5 km of the roadways bus stands apart from other demands related to payment of bonus.
