People having dispute with the Jaipur Development Authority (JDA) will have an opportunity to seek resolution from ‘coordination committees’.

The JDA has established three such committees to consider, discuss and suggest resolution for pending issues.

“There are number of issues listed including those of unauthorised construction, possession of allotted land, compensation for acquired land, lease of land by JDA and similar matters that could be raised ahead of the committees,” said Jaipur development commissioner, T Ravikanth.

The committees are expected to hold timely meetings and suggest a resolution for approval to the commissioner. The announcement of the committees on Thursday have come in sequence of efforts being made by JDA to streamline its records and resolve pending issues.

The JDA has recently speeded up disposing the pending tasks after a change in state government and administration of the development authority.

While the administrative officials initiate for policy level changes, JDA has also been more active in field. In the sequence, the JDA enforcement officials cleared off unwanted structures from nearly two bighas of land at Central Park on Thursday.

Long Awaited Action

The cleared land was previously under possession of Lily Pool Palace and was acquired by JDA after a long drawn legal battle. The authority has a couple of days earlier cleared constructions from another 20 bighas of land at the Central Park that was previously occupied by stable and cricket academy. Evacuation of these properties was awaited since the authority officially took possession of the properties in October last year. The acquired land for now stands as part of the Central Park, however, JDA has kept its option open for future use of these newly acquired properties. A part of the property can come for lease auction for generating revenue.
