The Anti-Terrorist Squad (ATS) nabbed another person in the fake gun license and weapons case on Wednesday and arrested a man from Mavli area of Udaipur. The arrested accused is a real estate dealer in Udaipur. Notably, the man has even appeared for civil services examinations also but failing which he entered the real estate sector. Identified as Jeevan Singh, the thirty-nine-year-old man is a native of Boyna village under Mavli tehsil of Udaipur district.

“Singh had purchased the license with the help of Jugal and Usman. Interestingly, the fake license claims that the man is a Subedar in the Border Security Force (BSF)” said Vikas Kumar, SP - ATS.

Furthermore, the man even purchased a .32 bore pistol from Usman’s shop in 2016. “However, at that time, the man did not have a license but still he purchased the same and after that, he bought the fake license from the gang for four lakh rupees,” the SP said.

This is the third instance unearthed by the ATS sleuths wherein the license has been made impersonating as a BSF of army official. “In his interrogation, the man has said that since he is associated with the real estate sector, he felt there was a need since everyone else he knew was getting one arm for themselves. He is well known in the real estate community of Udaipur and runs a good business. Further action in the matter is being taken,” officials said.
