Mukhyamantri Jal Swavalamban Abhiyan (MJSA), one of the most ambitious projects of Chief Minister Vasundhara Raje, is getting all the financial assistance from several organisations but is lacking the support of players of its own turf, the political class.
The water sustainability scheme of the state government is getting crores through donation as an aid from several institutions, industries and religious organisations, but what dashes the hopes are the funds received from the particular ‘political class’, which is Rs 27,000 (rounded off) in the first phase and nearly Rs 5,00,000 in the second phase.
Whereas, the other organisations donated Rs 35 crore in the first phase and Rs 22.60 crore in the second phase. Notably, only three donations of Rs 27,000 (first phase), and five donations of Rs 4.72 lakhs (second phase) came from the political treasuries.
