The office of cooperative registrar has taken cognizance of controversy prevailing at Rajasthan Cricket Association (RCA). The registrar has appointed state cooperative election officer Govind Goyal to investigate on charges of irregularities at the cricket association. The investigation officer inquired upon officials from RCA and state sports council over the alleged discrepancies.

“16 district cricket associations had signed the complaint made to registrar office against the functioning of RCA executive. The investigation officer has sought our response regarding the complaint,” said RCA secretary Rajendra Singh Nandu after submitting his reply at the inquiry.

The investigation officer along with the RCA secretary has sought response from RCA president, vice president and joint secretary on three points. These included sharing of record details with the sports council, compliance with the sports council norms and maintenance of financial records in accordance to the provisions of Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI).

“I was also among those to sign the complaint and submit the same ahead of the investigation officer. There is an urgent need for thorough investigation in functioning of RCA,” RCA secretary added.

The investigations continue as either of the sides presented their stand on the issues and evidences in support of their claim. The intervention though is unlikely to bring any immediate relief for cricket in Rajasthan.
