Congress spews venom on Vasundhara Raje rantings

200 kms away from the capital Jaipur, when chief minister Vasundhara Raje was celebrating 4th anniversary of her government in Jhunjhunu and counting achievements of BJP government amid much fanfare, the opposition Congress was busy spewing venom against her rule and pressing its countdown button in Jaipur. Congress state President Sachin Pilot accused government of corruption and said that BJP has pushed the state back bringing anarchy in the system.

“There is no sign of law and order and governance in the state. If at all the government is doing anything honesty, that is corruption deeds,” said Pilot.

He said that the countdown of Raje government has begun and public will teach a strong lesson to BJP in the next elections.

“Right from youth to women to farmers, every section of the society is suffering. The government has failed on all the fronts,” he said.

Going a step ahead, leader of opposition in assembly Rameshwar Dudi termed BJP government as one of the biggest ‘political crash’ in the history of Rajasthan. He issued a ‘Black Box’ of Raje’s misrule and said that the box is a collections of failures of Raje government.

“Black Box in an aeroplane contains the data to determine the cause of air crash. Likewise this Black Box has the causes of all the failures of BJP government,” he said.        

He said that he had 52 questions covering more than 250 issues for CM which she must answer to public. He said 52 questions will lead BJP to fall like pack of 52 cards.  

“Four years back, BJP had come to power making 611 poll promises. Unfortunately they have not been able to fulfill even 40% of them. BJP had been an utter failure and now chief minister has only few months left,” he said.

He questioned BJP about the promised it made regarding farmers loan waiver and asked why government is silent on suicides of farmers in the state. He asked government why the inter state water treaty is not being implemented and why renovation of Indira Gandhi Canal has not taken place?

Dudi said that there is a visible public anger against BJP. Government employees are staging demonstrations, farmers are agitating, policemen are going on strike, Physically challenged are challenging the government and youth are stiil waiting for 15 lakh job opportunities which BJP had promised.  

Showing law and order in poor light, Dudi said that there has been rise in atrocities against women and dalit and the state has witnessed communal violence in last 4 years.

“More than 70,000 newly born babies died for the want of proper medical facilities. Thousands of schools have been closed without reason and BJP government stalled mega projects which started during last Congress government like Jaipur Metro, Barmer Refinery, Banswara Rail project or Kota’s Parwan Irrigation Project with malicious intent,” he said.

Taking a dig at Raje government, Dudi said that the government topped in corruption.

“There was 45,000 crore mines scam, several thousand crore of PHED scam and several other scams that gagged the development. The government failed miserably in bring big ticket investment to the state despite spending crores of rupees on summit like Resurgent Rajasthan.

As the government enters into the election year, BJP state president Ashok Parnami is also seen sprucing up the organisation. He is getting ready to answer accusations and allegations levelled by Congress on ground zero. Parnami, a close confidante of Raje, has a task cut out to manage the grassroots and dispel the image Congress is trying to weave for the ruling party.
