Social justice and empowerment minister Arun Chaturvedi alleged that the Congress is trying to take the fight of the ballot to another level by adopting to violent means.  “After pelting stones at the Rajasthan Gaurav Yatra in Pipad city of Jodhpur, the Congress has attacked the BJP MLA’s Vikas Gaurav Yatra in Sangod, Kota. Congressmen pelted stones while the yatra was underway,” Chaturvedi said.

While addressing the press conference at BJP state headquarters, Chaturvedi said that after Independence during its rule, Congress has made every attemp to suppress the voice of the Opposition parties. “Congress does not believe in democracy. The stone pelting was carried out on the Rajasthan Gaurav Yatra in Pipad city and the stone pelting was carried out on the Vikas Gaurav Yatra in Sangod on Tuesday. This attitude is condemnable.”

Chaturvedi said that due to the factionalism within the Congress party and the differences among their leaders, their national president Rahul Gandhi is hesitant about being a part of the Sankalp Rally. “Congress had said that Rahul will be in the Sankalp Rally of all seven divisions. But Rahul did not come,” he added.

Chaturvedi alleged that Congress leaders were making personal allegations instead of speaking on the issues and works done under their rule. “The Congress does not have any concreate issue tio raise. The BJP governments in the state and at the Centre worked for the welfare of the poor and for the welfare of every section of the society. That is why BJP enjoys massive support of the people. This has unsettled  Congress,” the minister said.
