All India Congress committee general secretary and ex-state chief minister Ashok Gehlot, pradesh congress committee chief Sachin Pilot along with other senior party leaders on Tuesday slammed state BJP government for extreme corruption, plight and suicides of the farmers and government’s indifference to the public grievances.

Around 7000 to 10,000 people including the party workers were present in ‘Mera booth, Mera Gaurav’ campaign held in stadium ground at Hindoli. Interestingly, Gehlot and Pilot shared the stage after a long time in Hadouti, which is believed to be the fort of saffron party in the state.

Gehlot said that the state BJP government is good for nothing and here corruption and lawlessness rules. ‘It is the responsibility of the government to listen to the Opposition and accordingly take corrective measures in the interest of the people, but here in the state CM Raje treats the opposition (Congress) as her enemy,’ Gehlot said. In the public grievance hearing meetings, CM Raje sends her ministers, said the former CM, adding that Raje during her district tours ‘bully and intimidate the government officers in a packed room’.  Claiming a clean sweep win in the upcoming state assembly elections, a confident Gehlot said, ‘CM Raje and her ministers do know it well that they are in power for only next six months as the Congress is set to return to power.

On the other hand, Pilot appeared to be indifferent during the event and in his brief address he also slammed BJP led government both the at the Centre and state.  He, however, stressed upon the need to strengthen booth management for party’s win in the upcoming assembly elections. ‘The corruption is at its extreme under the current BJP regime where prices of petrol and diesel are skyrocketing while the prices of farmers’ crop are flattened to the ground,’ Pilot said.
