Cell-ing kites

Its was a unique moment when on Sunday, jail inmates turned kite enthusiasts. They also their handful of the sky. Thanks to the jail authorities who had planned the day for them. The department had also set up two teams. While one team had convicts, the other had undertrials. 

The inmates were provided with kites and manjha. By the end of the day, the inmates’ team was the winner. The day of festivities also included a visit to the temple to seek blessings and a kirtan session. Moreover, women in jail were allowed to spend time with their families and sweets were exchanged. Family members flew kites with the inmates under strict security.
