After the declaration of class 10 results of CBSE, rush of students to secure admission in their favourite schools and in preferred streams in class 11 can be seen again.

The schools have started making preparations for admission process for the outside students who have scored high marks in CBSE on the seats in class 11 which are left after admitting their students who have passed in class 10.

However this time since the percentage system was re-introduced, the admission process is not that easy.

Till last year board used to give percentile or CGPA which large number of students used to get . As such there was no distinction between the students. This time there has been many high scorers too and this has raised the bar for the schools for giving admissions to the outside students.

“The seats are limited which cannot be increased as space is limited in class room. The benchmark has therefore been increased with high scoring students being preferred after giving re-admission to our own students,” said a school principal of Jaipur-based school.

The striking feature seen in schools these days is that many of the high scoring students have preperred humanities in class 11 instead of opting for science or commerce.

There are many schools where the classes are up to class 10 only and hence they need to find new schools.

The schools have therefore started the process with issuing the application forms.

Once this process of filing up application form is completed, the scrutiny of these forms will be done and thereafter on remaining seats the admissions are given.

For example , Kendriya Vidyalaya Mansarovar branch has also started the registration process for its second shift in class 11 while at SMS school too application process is on like most of the schools in the city.
