In order to win the upcoming assembly elections, the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) will deploy 200 vistaraks in all the 200 assembly constituencies across the state, till the polls are over. These vistaraks will be allotted assembly area for six months and will work towards strengthening the party. All the 200 vistaraks will be given organisational training before their deployment on field.
It may be noted that the Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS) has the tradition of prachark and vistarak. In order to strengthen the organisation, the BJP too has implemented vistarak tradition in the party last year wherein some party workers were made vistaraks. These will work as a prachark of the RSS by leaving their homes and going to the places allotted to them.
The three days state-level training camps of BJP vistaraks began at Abu Road on Tuesday under Pandit Deendayal Upadhyay Vistarak Yojna. During the camp, senior BJP leaders will give training to the vistaraks through various sessions for three days. According to sources, vistaraks will be given training of booth management, organisational skills and election campaigning.
After three days of training, all the vistaraks will be allotted an Assembly area. From June 15 onwards they will move on field. The vistaraks will remain in the field till the Assembly elections, but they will not be allowed to contest the elections. “Under the Pandit Deendayal Upadhyaya Karya Vistarak Yojana, booth vistaraks will also be appointed at all the polling booths across the state,” a senior BJP leader said.
