The race for the fourth spot in IPL 2020 has intensified thanks to the resurgence shown by Kings XI Punjab. KL Rahul’s side has won three consecutive games against Royal Challengers Bangalore, Mumbai Indians and Delhi Capitals, the top three sides in the tournament. The performance by Kings XI Punjab has increased the pressure on teams like Rajasthan Royals and Sunrisers Hyderabad. With Kings XI Punjab moving to fifth, Steve Smith and David Warner’s teams are in a precarious position heading into the last two weeks of the tournament. This clash could make or break the fortunes of both teams in their quest to reach the play-off.

In the previous encounter between Rajasthan Royals and Sunrisers Hyderabad, Rahul Tewatia and Riyan Parag shared a match-winning partnership that gave them a tense win with just one ball to spare. A win for either Rajasthan Royals or Sunrisers Hyderabad will keep them in pole position for the fourth spot provided Kolkata Knight Riders and Kings XI Punjab slip up in their coming games. A loss could make their path to the play-off stage incredibly difficult.
