Kolkata Knight Riders and Royal Challengers Bangalore will square off in an important IPL 2020 clash at the Sheikh Zayed Stadium in Abu Dhabi. In the previous encounter between the two sides at Sharjah, AB de Villiers blasted 73 off 33 balls which included six sixes and he shared a partnership of 100 with Virat Kohli. Kolkata Knight Riders struggled for momentum and they suffered a mammoth 82-run loss which dented their net run-rate.

With Kings XI Punjab staging a resurgence and with Rajasthan Royals also making progress, a slip-up for Kolkata Knight Riders could prove to be costly. On the other hand, a win for Royal Challengers Bangalore could boost them to the second spot. With depth in both batting and bowling, Royal Challengers Bangalore will be determined to maintain their winning run and ensure their consistency remains as the tournament reaches the business end.

A win for Kolkata Knight Riders will help them create a buffer between the likes of Sunrisers Hyderabad, Rajasthan Royals and Kings XI Punjab in the fight for the fourth spot.

Weather conditions

The temperature in Abu Dhabi will be hot and dry with a maximum of 34 degrees and a minimum of 26 degrees. The humidity will be high at 62 per cent and there could be a possibility that dew could play a big role in the outcome of the match.

Pitch report

The wicket in Abu Dhabi is sluggish and the ball might stop on the batsmen as the game progresses. The wicket will become even more difficult to bat and the spinners will come into play a lot more.
