Mohzil Pathan, the youth who was seriously injured in the road accident at Shivranjani crossroads on Saturday, that also killed his friend, owns the bike that he was driving.

The incident happened in the early morning when the two were speeding and lost control of the vehicle thus hitting a divider. So severe was the impact of the accident that Pathan's friend, Arafat Shaikh, who was riding pillion with him, went flying from the bridge and fell down. He later died in a hospital.

Police have so far recorded the statement of Yusuf Pathan, father of Mohzil, said investigating officer SJ Pathan. Yusuf is the owner of Capri Restaurant at Relief Road. Yusuf told the police that the bike was purchased by his son Mohzil three days ago and the papers are still with the old owner.

However, so far the police have not declared who is exactly the owner of the bike. Police sources said that as Mohzil was driving the bike they wanted to ask him for the documents. "Mohzil is still critical and he may be shifted to some other hospital. We will try to get a statement from him once he is out of danger," said Pathan.

Primary investigations have revealed that once Arafat left his office in Satellite, the two went for some tea.
