Prime Minister Manmohan Singh today met his Pakistani counterpart Yousaf Raza Gilani to give a push to normalisation of bilateral relations marked by "shrinking" trust deficit.
"We had very good meeting. We are moving in a positive direction ahead," said Pakistan Prime Minister Yousaf Raza Gilani.
Gilani thanked Singh for supporting Pakistan in the United Nations Security Council for a non-permanent seat.
Saying that the dialogue process yielded positive results, Singh said he always regarded his Gilani as "a man of peace."
Singh says the next round of talks should be "far more productive" and bring the two countries closer to each other.
