An Uttarakhand BJP leader has submitted a written complaint to police against writer Arundhati Roy for her recent remarks on Kashmir.
The complaint was submitted with Mallital police station on Wednesday by Pushkar Singh Dhami, vice-chairman of state urban development monitoring board and a BJP leader.
Inspector in-charge of police station BS Dhoni told PTI today that the police is seeking legal opinion on the application before initiating the investigations.
At a convention on 'Azadi -- The Only Way' in the capital last week, the 49-year-old Booker Prize winning author had said, "Kashmir has never been an integral part of India. It is a historical fact. Even the Indian government has accepted this."
