The Ghatlodia police reported two cases of burglary on Monday in which robbers made away with cash and valuables worth over Rs15.78 lakh.

Alpa Raval, a resident of Sarjan Tower, Memnagar, lodged a complaint at Ghatlodia police station stating that some people barged into her house and stole valuables worth Rs15 lakh on November 12 between 4pm and 11pm.

She stated in her complaint that thieves made away with her diamond and gold jewellery including imported watches worth Rs4.58 lakh while her house was locked. The police said that robbers broke the interlock to enter the house. So far, the police have made no breakthrough in the case.

In another case, Naman Shah, a resident of Sargam apartment, Sola road in Naranpura, registered a case with Ghatlodia police stating that his mobile shop located near Green park apartment was burgled. Forty-three cell phones, recharge coupons, computer and cash to the tune of Rs72,690 were stolen from the shop.
