V Vaithilingam appeals for observance of Earth Hour in Puducherry today

Chief minister V Vaithilingam has appealed to people of the Union Territory to join the world in observing the 'Earth Hour' by turning off the lights for an hour today.
   
He requested all residents and commercial establishments in Puducherry to switch off lights from 8.30 p m to 9.30 p.m.
to show the Union Territory`s solidarity with the strategies to combat climate change, an official source said.
