Undertrial commits suicide in jail in Uttar Pradesh

An undertrial, accused in a murder case, allegedly committed suicide inside the jail premises here, a senior police officer said today.

Komal Singh (58), who was lodged in the district jail here for nearly two years, was found hanging in his barrack yesterday, Jail Superintendent Harish Chandra Rai said.

Singh was lodged in Jail in September 2008 along with his wife, son and daughter, who were released on bail a year back.
